On 9 November, 2016 Government of India issue note exchange form. By this form wherever you want to exchange your old high denomination notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 at post office or bank. You need to submit this fill form and submit the currency with this form. Plus carry your identity proof also. Without this form they are not going to exchange the notes. You can exchange the notes from post office and bank upto 30 December, 2016. After that if you want to exchange, you can exchange it at RBI branches along with the declaration. At RBI you can exchange upto 30 March, 2017. After that those note would be considered as just a piece of paper.
